ISLAMIC, Seljuks. Great Seljuk. Uncertain (?), circa AH 442-493 / AD 1050-1100. Dirham (Silver, 13 mm, 1.82 g), perhaps Dvin (Armenia), circa AH 442-493 = AD 1050-1100. 'al-Sultan...' (in Arabic). Album -. Unpublished and probably unique. Struck on a somewhat short flan, otherwise, about very fine.

This enigmatic coin is connected to the presence of the Great Seljuks in Armenia. It was struck in the second part of the 11th century, before the Great Seljuks stopped producing coins in silver.
